ERDMS code* for issuing authorities:

The competent authority code is composed of two letters (country) and 3-digits. The country code must follow the 2-letter in accordance with ISO 3166. The 3-digit code is attributed by Member States to designate specific competent authorities. For example, AT001, AT002 and AT003 are three codes for Austria which code-issuer value respectively 001, 002 and 003. A competent authority-code is unique for each pair country-ID / issuer-ID, but the same code must be used for all authorization-ID of such a pair. For example, AT001 could be “Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology” and the same code should be used in the context of issuing certificates and issuing service record books if these two competences are attributed to the same competent authority.
